Nau mai, haere mai! Welcome to Heritage Park Rhododendron Gardens at Kimbolton.
Heritage Park Gardens are open every day of the year from dawn to dusk.
Admission:
- 1 September - 31 January: $10
- 1 February - 31 August: $5
Children under 14 free.
Pre-arranged groups may be eligible for a concession rate. Please enquire.
Tips for your visit:
- The best time to visit the park is during the September to December flowering season, although anytime is a good time to visit the gardens.
- All dogs are welcome on a lead.
- Payment of admission charges can be made either with cash or direct debit. No eftpos facilities are available. Internet banking details are 02-0719-0026711-00. Use 'visitor' as reference.
- The Chalet is open during the peak flowering season for tea and coffee. Restroom facilities are available during this time as well. The Chalet is wheel-chair friendly.
- The park is a great place to have a picnic!
Getting here:
- Heritage Park is located a short distance north of Kimbolton on Haggerty Street. Get directions here.
- The park is a 20 minute drive from Feilding and a 40 minute drive from Palmerston North. It is also a roughly 2 hour drive from Wellington and a 3 hour drive from Taupō.
Campervan overnight stays:
Campervans are permitted to stay for up to two nights in the Heritage Park carpark, with access to the grounds.
The cost for campervans is the same as the usual admission fee, per person. One fee covers your entire stay. Please enquire.
