Rhododendron "Sir Edmund Hillary"
Registered 2010 by Heritage Park.
Propagated by Rodney Wilson from a plant grown from seed sent by the Queen of Nepal in the 1970's, this rhododendron is a living memorial to Sir Edmund Hillary.
To commemorate the occasion it was planted by Lady Hillary, 05 October, 2012.
Proceeds from the sale of rhododendron "Sir Edmund Hillary" are assisting the Nepalese people.
